Key Result: High numbers of Golden perch were caught in all years, with a high percentage of these (77-94%) of a legal size. There has been no evidence of recruitment in the system over the past three years. Genetic analysis conducted in 2018 indicate that 70% of the Golden perch in the Goulburn River are stocked fish (ARI unpublished data).
Stocking: In 2016, 50,000 Golden perch were stocked; 44,000 in late 2017; 59,000 in early 2018; and 60,000 in early 2019. These fish were released downstream of Lake Nagambie (where Report Card sampling is located).
